I have met plenty of whites who hate blacks and a few blacks who hate whites, but the first far out numbers the second. Same goes here on C-D.
And no I have never met a happy racist.
I think there is more suspicion between races than outright hatred. And i don't know if that qualifies as racism or not, to tell the truth.
I became good friends with a black shipmate in the Navy, and he invited me over to his place for an upcoming barbecue his wife was planning.
He had to apologize and take back his invitation the next day. His wife was uncomfortable with the thought of a white guy showing up at her party. I met her later on, and she was very nice, so who knows? Maybe she didn't want to deal with her black neighbors or something, but I was never invited over again.

BAck in the mid 60's. Can't remember for sure- probably 1967. Things in the Navy have changed a lot since then I'm sure.
