Don't worry, I'm sure they will catch whomever stole it when they register it.

Crime of opportunity. You keep your car or garage or house door unlocked, then yes it is your fault if someone walks in and steals something.

So, it's o.k. with you if any robber just goes around checking doors to see if they are not locked?

I would be embarrassed to even say something like that...

Applying your logic further, women are responsible for their own rape because of their attire

a crime of opportunity is still a crime. and yes the victim does bear a small amount of responsibility for such a crime, but in the end the thief is the one that should have not violated the law in the first place. in my opinion you should be able to leave $10,000 on your kitchen table in plain view of everyone, and no one should bother with it since it isnt theirs. this is what we call morality.

No it's not! Ever hear the phrase "a man's home is his castle?" Whether the doors were locked or unlocked is irrelevant! The perpetrator had ABSOLUTELY NO RIGHT to trespass and walk in and help himself to this man's personal stuff!

Kinda like the girl that wears a mini-skirt to a party and has a little too much to drink?

Semantics. You think a house must be "locked" in order to be "secure." Those of us who respect private property believe that "secure" is being inside the property of which you or others don't have permission to enter.

You pretend to be a moderate conservative. It's clear that you are a flaming liberal with a single item or two that you can relate to conservatives with.
