Um, the dateline on the WaPo story was October 2013. This is as pitiful as the Hillary obsession threads that pollute the front page of “Politics and other controversies.”

Obama was a professional at smiling at us and lying. He pretended to be friends to peoples faces but was actually ready to stab them in the back. In a word he was a Politician.
We don't have to worry about back door deals, deceit and political shenanigans from Trump because he tells it like it is with no BS lawyer filter.

I think the problem is this. Both parties accept BS if it comes from their guy.
Obama lied to Merkel about spying to make a dossier on her and lied to the American public about it too. Democrats here on this board were largely silent on this Obama lie.
Trump lies to Trudeau and these same Democrats are magically principled on not lying to foreign leaders and how awful that was.
Republicans have done the same thing. Upset that Obama spied and lied, indifferent that Trump makes up numbers, which is a lie.
It is important that both sides look in the mirror, otherwise we will keep having lying politicians and it is our own fault why both parties lie.
Stop using “deflection” to hide your side’s wrongoings and hypocrisy. It is perfectly fair for someone to bring up examples of Obama’s lies when you guts attack Trump for your claim of his lying.
That's exactly what it is: DEFLECTION when your side uses it to deflect from today's issues of a sitting president and his lying while currently in power.
Obama's gone and you have no way of knowing who supported his lying or who didn't.
What we do know is right now you people are deflecting like mad from a CURRENT situation of malfeascence on the part of a sitting president.
What we also know now is it is obviously an act of desperation because you are watching a train wreck in slo-mo and can't do squat about it other than DEFLECT.

Obama's lies were downplayed by the media or not even reported at all whereas anything that Trump does is cast in a negative way and reported to death with embellishments and false outrage.
The hypocrisy is crazy and I think it would have been the same for any Republican that won the WH.
Imagine if Trump stood up and told the people that "if you like your doctor you can keep your doctor". That was a bold faced lie to all of us and Obama knew it but he needed it to sell healthcare.

Meanwhile, the guys on both sides get away with lying because the people who voted for them keep pointing fingers at the other guy instead of their own guy.
