How could they do that? You have to be dirt poor to qualify for Medicaid.

You know, you keep talking about these studies, but I don't believe you've ever posted a link! They can't control all these groups for SES. There are some mutally exclusive groups there. Medicaid people are the poorest of the poor and are generally not eligible for any other kind of insurance. Medicare patients are >65 years old (yes, I know there are a few exceptions, but I'm talking about the general group here, not the outliers. People over 65 who are eligible for Medicare must use a Medicare plan for hospitalization. That includes almost everyone >65 years of age. There is no comparison group.

You sure about that?
There may be some companies that issue them but none I'm familiar with.
