Last debt ceiling didnt the speaker say he got 95% of what he wanted? Thats not the sign of compromise.

ALL of my GOP friends go on about how compromise is bad because its "selling out our values"

LOL. well I certainly would love to see a super majority TEA PARTY in control of congress with a real conservative president...

but I would also point out that a few years ago we had an American History low point (post civil war era) when democrats got such control.

They distroyed healthcare, they spent us into a spending coma...

to use the obama analgy, they found the car in the ditch and decided to fix the situation but dousing the car with gas and lighting it on fire.

That's what it was from 2008 - 2010 and we got stuck with a trillion dollar "stimulus" and Obamacare, I doubt we'll see any improvement if/when it happens again.
1. Neither President Obama or the Senators that were elected with him were sworn in till 2009. so you should stop including that extra year.

2. There is no "no way or the highway mentality":, that is your own personal interpretation on what he and Democrats have said, not based on anything they said.

You obviously have no clue what you are talking about. Fiscal budgets for the U.S. government start in October of the PREVIOUS calender year. That is why the government shutdown on October the 1st of the 2014 fiscal year.

Im saying this because you keep saying the Demcorats spent us into Coma even thought President Bush is the one who requested the 1.41 trillion dollar Deficit for the Fiscal year of 2009(October 2008-September 2009). Ever budget sense then has actually been lower than that. So Democrats actually bought spending down not up.

Also, 2 weeks of Tea Party rule and our country lost 24 billion dollars, You actually want them to control it overall ?????

Yes, I would like the TEA Party to control the country. Because they are the ones most likely to control spending.

And, it was Obama who said he would not negotiate. The gov't shutdown was just as much his fault as anyone else's.

Those aren't real conservatives. People who are clueless, emotional and can't tell the difference between a latent and manifest consequence are stupid, not conservative. The only reason why you see any of these tea bagger idiots getting nominated let alone elected is because that particular seat is rigged and it's not competitive.

We had a full majority for most of the 2000's. All the same idiots who call themselves tea party were around then, but they were silent. That period ended with the biggest recession in 100 years. What the country needs is congressional districts fixed, make Congress competitive again and we'll get mature adults back in the building.

By the way, distroyed and analgy aren't words. Have any other great opinions to share?

No, it's not. It's not mainstream Republican's fault either. It's the tea baggers. They shut down the government because they lost a fight 3 years ago and don't have the maturity to move on. Democrats have been plenty willing to negotiate on most everything. Obama not willing to destroy his healthcare reform legislation that was passed 3 years ago doesn't amount to him not negotiating. You're making the sensible conservatives around here look bad.

"Teabaggers?" What do they have to do with politics?

Or, did you mean the TEA Party? And they didn't shut down the government. Democrats may be willing to talk but not the president. All Obama had to do was say he would be willing to negotiate, but he is incapable of doing that in many instances, as we have seen.

On another note:

Every Presidential candidate should undergo a psychiatric evaluation .... see how well he / she can play with the other kids on the playground.....this one clearly can't. It's his way or the highway.

I've had all I can take.
It would be unfair and unbalanced.

I wish for a sane and respectable Democratic Party, and a sane and respectable Republican party.

Tea baggers, people in one of the tea parties, same idiots, same thing. Fake conservatives who don't know their backside from a hole in the wall. Obama wasn't willing to give up his healthcare legislation. That's not being unwilling to negotiate.

There's been a ton of negotiation over the last few years on spending cuts. In fact, both the President and Democrats in the House and Senate have been willing to work on the deficit. The sensible Republicans around are as well. Boehner, however, is limited by these party idiots who only get elected because their districts are rigged.

We had real Republicans around in the 90's. They got things done. What you have in the house now is a joke who only appeals to the least intelligent part of the party.
