My local paper, the Bloomsburg (Pa.) Press/Enterprise, has a 30-second call-in forum for people who have trouble with prose. This item turned up yesterday:

For Halloween, I'm going as a Democrat: When trick-or-treaters come to my door, I'll confiscate half thir candy, and give it to a kid who's too lazy to dress up.

If he were a true "progressive" Democrat, he'd find a way to keep most of the loot for himself.
