Even if 37 GOP Representatives lost their jobs over the shutdown (not going to happen), that would be less than the 63 liberals who were fired in 2010 over Obamacare. And more liberals are going to pay the price for Obamacare in 2014 and 2016. Can't wait!

I don't think they ever step outside the teaparty bubble. IF they did, they might realize that the vast majority of the American voting public - blames the GOP for the shut down.

Even if was all Dems or Republicans they would still be grid lock. The only thing that binds the Dems togather is having a common opponent. How else can so many people with naturally opposing views stay together. Lets see the largest groups that typically vote Dems: Unions, People for Illegal Aliens, Jews, Muslims, Gays. If it wasn't for the Republicans most of these groups would be at each others throats. Same applies to Republicans wrt to Rightys and moderates.
