As to whether "racial profiling" is going on. How can you be sure? Perhaps it's "economic profiling". You know, why salesmen don't run out to greet and entertain the homeless guy wandering by the Lexus dealership.
Economic profiling, huh? How do you, or anyone at that store, know the economic profile of any person by looking at them? You don't.

This is exactly the type of person who ends up going to PayDay loan places, getting themselves in such a deep hole that they can't recover, then complains that their minimum wage job doesn't pay a living wage, then maxes out 5 credit cards, etc. etc, etc.
So, you're right. Maybe it's none of my business how she decides to spend her money but someone with that poor of a decisionmaking ability about money needs a smack with the reality stick.
My sister has no job, two kids, and no husband, and owns several high end purses. She also has a BMW convertible. Is she one of those types of people that you refer to?
She also owns 3 houses, and some amazing jewelry. What you wouldn't know about her if she were out shopping is that her husband was an amazing financial planner, who taught her very well before he was hit by a drunk driver, leaving her with a very generous insurance policy, and stock portfolio.
Maybe people should think about that. You don't know her financial situation.
My wife has quite a few expensive purses. Her newest is a Dior bag that cost over $4200. She has a closet full of bags with an average price of $2500-$3000 each.
And I bet you have a million dollars in your bank account and an IQ of 160.
Stupid purchases are a significant part of the economy.
What would happen if all of a sudden, everyone decided to live within their means?
One person's 'stupid' purchase is another person's 'must have'. There is no correlation between living within ones means and making 'stupid' purchases.
If my wife goes out and spends $5,000 on a purse, she is still living within her means. However, I might think the purchase is 'stupid'. She might think she got a deal.
