Great article.

It’s arguably the favorite myth of progressives, the oft-repeated claim that Republicans have no health plan. Hence, President Obama was fully justified in ignoring them and proceeding to enact a comprehensive health reform law on a strict party line vote—something completely unprecedented in American political history.

Seriously? The Republicans Have No Health Plan? - Forbes

Why wouldn't the President and Democrats compromise on some of these things or even listen? Oh yeah, because they had no desire to do so. They have no desire to do what is right for the people but only to support their own destructive agenda. We are all paying dearly for it now. But I am sure the blind Obamabots will still follow their leaders right over the cliff.

Well, yes, if people consider a one page outline with vague bullet points to be an option.

In reality, they never made it past the blue skying and never made it into an actionable alternative.

It's like comparing a picture of a car to a real car and saying they are pretty much the same thing. When you need something that can actually work they are no where close to the same thing.

Might as well say the Republican option is for everyone to eat an apple a day to keep the doctor away.

The same can be said of the US Constitution. Is is just six pages of "vague" bullet points to some.

The Democrats tried continually to get Republicans to work with them on healthcare reform, and they refused. Remember, their goal was to make Obama a one term president, not to help him succeed in doing ANYTHING. Now, about those previous plans. Guess what. The first one I looked at contains exchanges. You know, the thing Republicans refer to as "Obamacare" and are gleefully cheering the glitches with? http://www.coburn.senate.gov/public/...6-fc195a833884 How about this plan from 2007... It includes subsidies for the poor (what Republicans call socialism/redistribution) 10 Steps to Transform Health Care - Issue Statements - United States Senator Mike Enzi

The democrats did not allow any amendments in snate markup committee by republicans or even to allow reading of the bill. Most democrats never read the bill because there was no time given to do so. No republican sponsor therefore and democrats own the bill; plain and simple.

The Republicans had a chance to work with the Democrats. They refused. Why the hell would Democrats let them amend the bill with their garbage ideas like "tort reform" and various BS meant to sabotage the bill? They already showed that their only interest was to obstruct the president and Democrats and protect their big business and moneyed interests.

This was a manufactured issue. The MAJORITY of the country was fine with the healthcare delivery system as it was.

uhm they didn't like the bill and tried to stop it. So you wouldn't try to stop something you don't like? You are nothing but an Obama lover who will defend Obama no matter the catastrophe.

But hey! its a right for people to get insurance even though millions will be losing it because of Obamacare. The only people that matter to this administration is the people on the dole whos votes are bought.
