What it means is that the White House asked Durbin to feed it to reporters, so it could be used as talking points, when they desperately needed a diversion. Durbin does what they say and the White House says "what, we don't think it happened".
The goal was the result, which was to demonize Republicans in the media, and divert from the present political crisis. And the dutiful C-D libs repeated it as did all the media democrats who put party first and truth last.
With all the lies our President has had to endure these last 5 years, it may be about time they start playing the same game. I know lying occurs in politics, but the Republicans have gone overboard w/this President. Perhaps what you say really is what happened, we'll never know. And re' crisis, are you really talking about the ACA website issues? Please look up the difficulty President G.W. Bush went through when they got their Medicare part D in place.
Yes the 24 hour news stations repeat what appears to be news. What has been forgotten is how to really investigate a story before announcing it. Now the liberal and conservative stations have to provide something every minute of the day. Today they get rich off misinformation, in the old days people got fired.
With the denial by the President (noted on 10/23/13), it's important to refer to the staffers of the White House (whomever they are). I know they are peeved w/each other's side, and things have gotten out of hand in regards to lies. Please look at the lies about the Democratic President we have had to endure for the last 5 years. If the President didn't deny the statement I would be concerned for that, as lies do tarnish one's reputation. I just want to let this man govern freely in his ELECTED office.
The BIGGEST LIES have been from that White House and out of this President's OWN MOUTH.
I don't care if it is true or not - the real story here is . . . DURBIN purposely posted something he really knew nothing about on the biggest social media platform in the world . . . after being told to GO GET THIS OUT THERE!!! by a White House staffer. If this isn't a concerted effort to keep the devisive politics going, I don't know what is. This was simply an inside look at how this White House and DEMs in particular are stirring the pot trying to cause contention in between Congressmen, Senators and the voting public. That is the story. And it is shameful.
Durbin was punked by the White House lying. Just think this is the way they treat a Obama defender, forum Obama apologist take note.
Durbin is a dirtbag. He would do it again if asked. He is an IL Democrat, so he has little to fear from lying.
