NSA infiltrates links to Yahoo, Google data centers worldwide, Snowden documents say - The Washington Post

Quote:
The National Security Agency has secretly broken into the main communications links that connect Yahoo and Google data centers around the world, according to documents obtained from former NSA contractor Edward Snowden and interviews with knowledgeable officials.

By tapping those links, the agency has positioned itself to collect at will from among hundreds of millions of user accounts, many of them belonging to Americans.

Default Beyond Orwellian

It is amazing how most people don't realize how Big Data can effectively determine what kind of person they are. For example, based on what the NSA has access to the government can potentially neutralize the next Gandhi or Martin Luther King Jr. before that person even consciously decides to become an activist.

Considering that both Gandhi and King interfered with the will of certain politicians, the NSA is not only the best tool for the corrupt, it's taxpayer funded.

All you need is the NSA and DHS onboard and you can effectively disrupt all meaningful dissent to imperialistic and/or corporate agendas.

This is probably one of the most important threads ever posted here and look at the number of hits. If you have ever looked at Nazi history you can easily see the parallels. Those people didn't complain either until the Nazi storm troopers lined them up and murdered them. That probably won't happen here in the US but you can count on some people being woke in the wee hours and carted off to a FEMA camp without a warrant or charge.

It has also be exposed that the NSA can now break into secure websites regardless of their of their security. This means that the NSA can also tap into electronic voting machines. Could it be the NSA already knows who the next president will be?

BTW, I am no expert but I believe Firefox is still private and Duckduckgo does not save any data and therefore there is nothing to be had.

Yep. This can be done remotely, as well. Like very remotely. Not just the one alphabet either.
This company has posted information also on page...

Also startpage/ixquick, private lee and some SE that is completely ran by a private company. Can't remember.

CD is mostly populated by partisan trolls so a story with no clear Democrat or Republican adversary is usually ignored here. It's sad too because what the NSA is doing has monumental implications with respect to the Fourth Amendment which in turn allows for the First Amendment to be exercised. These are very dark times for our Republic and I fear that US citizens lack the will to demand that the situation be corrected.
