By the way, these are the last sentences in the report:

Quote:
The girl was hospitalized but not seriously injured in the incident. No stab wounds were found on her leg.
So why couldn't the dad handle his own 8 year old again?

Because Dad wasn't there. It was a babysitter who called it in.

Hmmm. That shines a light on some things I was uncertain about. I have this mental picture of this girl just being totally out of control, head spinning, spitting green goo, etc, and having stabbed herself. In such a case, and I have had to subdue out of control children and adults both, use of a stun gun does not seem excessive. Now, I begin to question just how berserk this child actually was.

Hard to say, I wasn't there. But, if she had stabbed herself in the leg, there would have been a lot of blood. Im building a slightly different mental picture of this now. Instead of a truly tweaked and troubled child in a psychotic break, I'm seeing a brat, mad because she couldn't have a cookie before dinner, and seriously lacking ....parental guidance. The latter seems more likely than the former, now.

I thinking, as things come to light, rather than a Tazing, and a fawning, PC "evaluation", this could have been better handled with a trip to the tack shed. I guess I don't feel the cop needs lynching, although I still, firmly, believe that LE has become overly ...enthusiastic...about use of the Tazer. So, in a nutshell, that and the lack of proper upbringing, are being showcased here.
