On CNN's Anderson Cooper show, CNN correspondents described how the White House has been pressuring insurance companies to refrain from taking about the problems Obamacare is having, people's dissatisfaction with it, and generally saying anything negative about it.

How is this NOT a classic example of the government violating people's 1st amendment right to freedom of speech?

CNN: White House Pressuring Insurance Companies to Not Criticize ObamaCare | MRCTV

"Basically, if you speak out, you're going to get a call from the White House, pressuring you to keep quiet".

"They feel defenseless against the White House P.R. team."

"The White House is exerting massive pressure on the industry, including the trade associations, to keep quiet."

"Basically, they fear retribution."

"The Obama administration has no trust in anything the health insurance industry tells them about how to run a health plan. I think the administrative mess we're seeing now is indicative of what happens when somebody tries to run somebody else's business and thinks they are smarter than you are."

How? There's nothing stopping executives from ignoring this type of thing. Would you whine about the first amendment if someone told you that you're an idiot and you shouldn't make bad threads? That doesn't violate the constitution and neither does any sitting administration giving advice to private companies.

Seriously, try and think before you post next time. Oh wait, I guess that suggestion is violating the first amendment.

The leftist fanatcis will simply wait until they figure people have forgotten about it. Then they will say whatever they want to about it, true or false.

Barack cannot let the truth interfere with his propaganda campaign.

I noticed this week the irony that Fox News apparently had no issue accepting ad $ from insurers ( BCBS and Humana in my neck of the woods) promoting individual ACA compliant policies. It seems to be regional because not all insurers have affiliates in all states.

If any of you don't think that sitting administrations don't do things like influence the press or influence companies then you're clueless. This is not limited to a R or D POTUS, it's just that the whiny CINO's around here don't know any better and just want anything to whine about. We lost the election, so it's time to put away the childish, spitey emotions. Go find something real to complain about.

Sure they do but this administration has demonstrated a pattern of persecution and prosecution unrivaled by other administrations.

On top of that, the news media turning propaganda machine for this administration is unprecedented and a monster red flag. This little lovers spat does nothing to mitigate their betrayal.

Why would they not? Are you suggesting that they ought to refuse a voice to those they disagree with or treat them differently? You advocate censuring or something?

Have you already forgotten that Obamacare is now the Law of the Land?

Think how loud you'd be screaming if Fox had refused to run those ads.
