Yeah, well 9/11 happened during Bush's bogus presidency, so what's your point?

9/11 took the focus off of something Bush was lying about? Please share.
By the way, I noticed that most of those areas on that list of shootings are rather blue areas. Interesting.
Yes, it's interesting that mass shootings usually happen where there are larger concentrations of people and areas with larger concentrations of people tend to vote Democrat.

Yah, you just keep telling yourself that. I thought all of us gun nut, crazy Republicans didn't live where you liberals live. Don't we live in the south, or the Bible belt, in our trailers? That's a long ways away from WI, and Minn, and DC.
I mean, it IS only "rethuglicans" who have the guns, right? Or are we spinning this a different way today?

March 10, 2009 -- Geneva County, Ala. -- 11 dead (including gunman), 6 injured
March 13, 2013 -- Herkimer County, N.Y. -- 5 dead (including gunman), one FBI K-9 dead
April 21, 2013 -- Federal Way, Wash. -- 5 dead (including gunman)
April 24, 2013 -- Manchester, Ill. -- 5 dead
June 7, 2013 -- Santa Monica, Calif. -- 6 dead (including gunman)
July 26, 2013 -- Hialeah, Fla. -- 7 dead (including gunman)
Sept. 16, 2013 -- Washington -- 13 dead (including gunman) 3 injured
What's really amazing is that Obama has managed to get to these incidents 17 out of 20 times in time to shoot the gunman with 16 of them being kills. I mean, what other explanation could there be? How does he do that?

I didnt realize that! Makes for lack of trial and defendant trying to blame others.
Part of the answer is simply freedom. Americans whose family is steeped in the traditions of southern conservatism tend to enjoy exercising their second amendment Constitutional right. Another is irrationality, or an ignorance of the facts. Gun ownership often proceeds under the assumption that one will be attacked. So people buy guns fearing someone else will use one on them, despite the supposed closeness of people inhabiting gun-heavy regions.
The present study also found associations in their data between opposition to gun controls and conservatism, anti-government sentiment, party identification, and being from a southern state. Even controlling for these factors, the team found racism associated with gun control opposition and gun ownership.
Yet, the list that was presented earlier did not reach that same conclusion:

I really wish liberals would make up their minds.
Either way I don't see anybody advocating govt employees giving up any of their toys. Kinda a long list of toys too.
