Which just so happened to be on tv last night. Good movie and gave me pause when obama came onto the scene. I have always felt if we had a manchurian candidate it would be someone like him. A quick rise, little background, smooth talker.
And isnt that sorta what al qaeda has been doing with their announcements to attack the west.
nope. the al qaeda threat would be thru "sleeper cells",not science-fiction mind control phone calls. a better film reference would be "little nikita".

i've always enjoyed the irony that so many accused obama of being the "manchurian candidate" when his opponent, mccain, was the son of a prominent political family who had been a POW in south-east asia.

No real point other than pointing it out. I noticed it a few shootings ago. Now whenever he takes a hit i am waiting to see if theres a shooting. It hasnt failed that one happens within a few days that takes over the news cycle.
There's enough shootings to claim correlation with just about every oother set of events. Perhaps if we made it harder for unhinged individuals to arm themselves, there'd be fewer shootings?

then show us the direct connections. i've posted a list of the mass killings during obama's presidency. i credit the OP for making some sort of effort to do so but, as that showed, it isn't there.
In the same vein, I don't take the Huffington Post very seriously either. About as seriously as I take MSNBC. Both, isually, use shootings like this to fly into a frenzy about the AR 15, which is the only model of semi auto rifle they know the designation for, thus EVERYTHING is an AR, if used in a shooting like this.
As we all know, the exact make and model is a matter of great importance, because - well, it isn't, actually. If people started murdering each other with sailboats, nobody would really care about whther it was a J-109 or Mumm 33, except for boaters.

Just to be clear, I want it known I was just comparing plot elements of The Manchurian Candidate with those of Telefon.
I was not suggesting there is some plot by this administration to have citizens killed in mass shootings to deflect attention from their shady dealings.
To further clarify:
1. I am not an Obama supporter and never was.
2. I don't really trust the government; I just don't believe they are responsible for all the ills in our society.

There is approximately one mass shooting in the US every two weeks. Mass shooting, as in more than four people. You DO understand the difference between causation and correlation, right?
It's like claiming that shootings are responsible for forest fires and flooding.
