I'm libertarian but not of the Libertarian party. I'm Hispanic descent, close to 50, female. And my husband is 51, white male, libertarian. We know a lot of libertarians, my mother, 77, white. My dad was also libertarian, when he died, 80, Hispanic descent.

While the stats are obviously somewhat disproportionate to the overall population, I'm not convinced the difference is worthy of a headline. Certainly if you examined the proportion of blacks that are Democrats you would find a much greater degree of divergence from the population as a whole. Would that make headline news?

I once fit the description, but while my political views have remained the same, I can no longer be considered young.
