It makes me sick on how those on the left are such petty tyrants and their good ideas have to be by force. Anyone supporting this measure and capping Dr's pay and say they believe in freedom is a hypocrite.
That's when the government sets quotas. If you don't have at least, say, 100 Medicare appointments for every 500 appointments, you cannot take another non-Medicare patient until you maintain the ratio. Of course, then offices will keep two sets of books, or if the doctor is worried their staff will report them, have a portfolio of discreet patients he sees off-hours and only for cash. The patients won't report him because they like their relationship with their doctor and don't want it to end.

The only thing the neo-proggies care about regarding freedom is dope and sex, making them about 10% libertarian in the big picture. Everything else is managed by big brother for your own good.

I also second that there is an artificial shortage of doctors created by the AMA, just to keep salaries high.

Plenty of people want to become doctors. The outmoded way that instruction is given and artificial scarcity has limited the number of people who could effectively practice medicine.
They are willing to accept the patients, just not the insurance. I agree with them.
