What is the average salary of a primary care physician?

That's who sees most patients most of the time.

Here’s an overview of physicians’ compensation in 2011 PRE-TAX :
Doctors’ Salaries | TIME.com

Radiology: $315,000
Orthopedics: $315,000
Cardiology: $314,000
Plastic surgery: $270,000
General surgery: $265,000
Obstetrics/Gynecology: $220,000
Psychiatry: $170,000
Pediatrics: $156,000

After all the schooling, long hours, huge school bills, stress of knowing the wrong decision could be the difference between life and death of their patient.... there are people actually begrudge doctors? Amazing. This is the people Obama called rich and insisted on raising taxes on. These are the people that Obama supporters begrudge.

Not at all, just a better argument in favor of a single payer system. The current system is just too onerous and costly. Too many artificial barriers to entry, to many burdens and costs to the individual.

The doctors most people see on a semi regular basis are at the bottom of the pay scale - family medicine, internal medicine and pediatrics.

A single payer system wouldn't be cheaper.

Well, of course it's slavery. Some of you need to seriously brush up on the 13th Amendment to the U.S Constitution.

I also second that there is an artificial shortage of doctors created by the AMA, just to keep salaries high.
You know this for a fact? What I know for a fact is we have a shortage of engineers, IT professionals and finanace and accounting specialists. What do they have in commom? Good math skills, which this country is still doing poorly in. Our educational system is not serving us well.

Plenty of people want to become doctors. The outmoded way that instruction is given and artificial scarcity has limited the number of people who could effectively practice medicine.
I'm sure they do. But there's also a lot of dummies out there. It takes 12 years of schooling after high school to get a medical degree, and an additional 5 years after that for a specialty like say, heart surgery. You really want to rush that?

Leeches don't pay taxes. It would be 'cheaper' for them.

Let's mandate salary, travekl restrictions and benefit caps for our legislators.

Let's mandate legislators must read and understand legislation they approve.

Lower the medical exam requirements for Euro 'doctors' who would otherwise become xray techs in the US.

the proposal to mandate docs treat M&M patients is the result of constricted thinking in a fantasy world of extremely limited imagination by incompetent legislators who reflect the ignorance of their electorate.

Or do you think that the money for all that just magically appears, the Dr. doesn't have to pay it out of what the practice earns?
