The 17-year pause in global warming is likely to last into the 2030s and the Arctic sea ice has already started to recover, according to new research.

A paper in the peer-reviewed journal Climate Dynamics – by Professor Judith Curry of the Georgia Institute of Technology and Dr Marcia Wyatt – amounts to a stunning challenge to climate science orthodoxy.

Not only does it explain the unexpected pause, it suggests that the scientific majority – whose views are represented by the UN Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) – have underestimated the role of natural cycles and exaggerated that of greenhouse gases.

Great news, now Al Gore can move back into the energy sucking mansion and hop back on the private jet. That"s of course he ever gave them up in the first place.

Its strange to think that arctic sea ice will remain the same for millions of years... oh yeah, they don't... liberal logic FAIL... if you have CONSTANT increase in global temp, you do not get any recovery...

There is no pause....The last decade was the hottest on record, and duh, of course the arctic ice is growing...It does that every winter.

One wonders who paid them and how much they got.

Again there is no pause, and there are no natural causes that can explain the present warming.

The Mail online is nothing more than a tabloid.

What a pile of steaming excrement... Neither the US government or any other government has an agenda and is not the source of the FACT that the earth is warming....Thermometers, sea level gauges, observations of glaciers disappearing and scientific consensus tell the real story.

I would have to be dead for at least three weeks before my brain would be decayed enough to believe that tripe.
What is wrong with you?...This is not a political issue, and of course people are planning how to adapt to a warmer world with higher sea levels.

Actually, what pulled it off was me turning my thermostat up to 77 from 72.

Yes, it is a political issue. The goal is increased government control and wealth redistribution.
