It's just the opposite, actually.

Oxymorons.
Being Jewish simply means that you are descended from the line of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. The Jewish bloodline is conveyed via the males, and is very much mixed at this point in time. King Solomon had about 700 wives and another 300 concubines, many of whom were foreign, including his Moabite wife (modern day Jordanian) who bore Reboaham, who succeeded Solomon as king of Judah. There's no such thing as a 'pure' Jew anymore, and many Palestinians have more Jewish blood than those who live in Israel.

Well when you analyze Israel and its population one is astonish to find that Jerusalem is 80% muslim. With the exception of Christians, albeit messianics both Jews and muslims are unbelievers in messiah. The catch is God has plans for the Jews and a horrible outcome for muslims. In fairness the muslims are not necessarily to be labled radical but simple a people of their faith and trying to make a living and raise a family. The bible paints a prophetic outcome for radicals and those forced into radialism ...they all die in the battle of Armegeddon. Hint! never mess with Gods Israel. Why they are moving is more of a cultural stimuli and to a degree financial.

Actually over 75% of the population of Jerusalem is Jewish.

I thought Jews operated by a matrilineal descent system.

A Jew is someone born to a Jewish mother or someone who has converted in an accepted conversion to Judaism.

According to Jewish law, Yes.

As a side note, I myself strongly dislike and disagree with this definition of "Jew".

(For the record, I myself am descended from Jews in the male line, but not in the female line. I self-identify as an agnostic Jew, so yeah.)

75% of the population of Israel? Probably.

75% of the population of Jerusalem? Probably not.

According to this source:

http://www.jiis.org.il/.upload/shnaton_C0113.pdf

--Arabs alone made up 36% of Jerusalem's total population, and this was back in 2011.

100% - 36% = 64% < 75%

It's my understanding Arab Jews are generally just thrown in under Sephardim.

In any event discrimination against them in Israel is nothing new.

That's right, the least jews (ashkenazis from Europe) are the one in charge in Israel.

The native jews of middle east (Sephardims) are the one at the bottom of the scale and the victims of discrimination
