Speak for yourself. You must be a complete idiot if you signed on the dotted line of such a policy.

He did lie. He claimed a person could buy a policy for about the same cost as a monthly cable bill. He went on to claim that a family could be covered for about the cost of a cell phone bill. He said it. He didn't include any ifs, ands, or buts. He made as a statement of fact.
Who wants to pay for maternity coverage when they are either beyond child bearing age or incapable of producing a child? Would you buy flood insurance if you lived in the middle of the saharan desert?
Obama lied, misled and misrepresented. If it is so good why the need to do these things?

Obama says thats what change looks like.
He should have said this is what BS sounds like.

Why did their previous insurance policies get cancelled?

It might seem to be health insurance, if you don’t look too closely, and most people don’t. The premiums are surprisingly affordable. And so millions of unemployed people, service industry workers, and those taken in by fast-talking telemarketers sign up. They may think they’re insured—until they have a medical problem and find out that their coverage is as skimpy as a hospital gown.

Stingy plans may be worse than none at all

What is your answer, Medicaid?

To those complaining about the ACA making people take coverages that they don't actually need themsleves. Here's an explanation for that.

Quote:

Because insurers pitched maternity coverage in the indivdual market only to buyers of chilbearing age, the premiums were high and they still made almost no money on them. One company internal memo reviewed by the committee stated that its loss on maternity riders came to 90% of income, a money-losing ratio," the memo said.

But that's what happens when you sell an insurance benefit to a narrowly defined market. Without the cross-subsidies inherent in a large pool of insured people, no single coverage is affordable to those who specifically need it.

That's the principle of universal coverage inherent in Obamacare, after all. Once you start segmenting the market so that only those vulnerable to a specific condition can buy coverage for that condition, the cost of that coverage soars into outer space.

Yes, men should pay for pregnancy coverage, and here's why - latimes.com
Again this is something that more Americans will began to realize as they learn more about the ACA.

Because it didnt comply with such demands like allowing 26 year olds to stay on their parents policies..
I have gone with nothing, but once again, that wasnt Obamas argument. Maybe I missed it, please quote Obama saying policies many americans were using were junk and thus should be outlawed...

I was not referring to myself. Insurance companies sell insurance so poor it is a fraud. People, who were duped into buying these types of policies, don't realize this until they become ill.
