Read post #1. The OP did that to start with.

Why is this thread even a discussion? First the article is an incredible bias source practically blaming Israel for starving poor Americans. ( Funny how they are "lazy" but when the evil Zionist come in and steal their money..) Secondly, foreign aid is a fraction of the US budget so it doesn't have any negative impact on the budget. Third, the partnership between US and Israel is mutual, as not only defense companies make a profit off of Israel, but US receives technology and weaponry from Israel. Cutting aid to Israel would only hurt the US more than help.

So should the aid to Egypt be reduced as it is part of the same package/peace agreement deal that the USA negotiated between the 2 countries.

In general the USA should take care of its own citizens before the rest of the world except in times of emergency such as what is going on right now in the Philippines.

If we can't afford to help Americans, then we can't afford to help anyone else. Charity starts at home.
In good times, I would disagree. But in these bad times, I agree, but with conditions. We shouldn't indiscriminantly give money to other nations without conditions, and we shouldn't indiscriminantly give money to American's without conditions. Welfare reform MUST be part of any discussion. There should be no such thing as "handout creep," which is what is happening every single year, to the detriment of our collective work ethic as a nation. It's high time to fix it.
