Obamabots.... Dare question, deflect or deny this?
This guys issue shows exactly whats wrong with 1 size fits all health care.
But now he can get birth control and birth coverage... I am sure his cancer isnt as much a issue now that he knows that!
He also can't be dropped for hitting a lifetime cap, be charged more for having cancer, or ever be denied because he had cancer. Prior to ACA most plans had a lifetime cap of $1 or $2 million, so it's fairly likely that he would have been dropped and then not be able to buy insurance at any price. I'm not against lifetime caps mind you, but this guy is one of the few that has actually benefited from the ACA.
"Since March 2007 United Healthcare has paid $1.2 million to help keep me alive, and it has never once questioned any treatment or procedure recommended by my medical team."

So you are privy to what she had for a policy?
What with her costs, do you think she wouldn't have been aware of a cap?
Most people weren't aware of lifetime caps. Was she any different? Probably not...
I don't know what plan she had, but I do know that is common for cancer patients to hit that cap in a year or two.
Excuse me for saying so but you don't know s***.
Anybody....anybody...that has been dealing with a health issue as involved as the one this woman has is aware of every dotted I and crossed T in their policy.
I am not going to go find it just for you...I posted it with the link someplace here the other day...but approximately .05 to 1% exceed their policy limits.
If the policy she now has to purchase doesnt cover her needs that the old policy did then she has to choose to live or not!
Nice choice there!
