I thought Bush ordered a lot of drone strikes. 86.3% have been ordered by our current Commander in Chief. Guess he's right when he said he is "really good at killing people.”
Heaven have mercy on us. The children.
Casualty estimates
Reported deaths and injuries Pakistan 2004–2013
CIA Drone Strikes
Total strikes: 378
Obama strikes: 326 Total killed: 2,528-3,648 Civilians killed: 416-948 Children killed: 168-200 Injured: 1,125-1,545
OP, you're right. The US should just give up hunting Islamist terrorists -- especially if they hide among civilians. I mean, what have they ever done to us?

WHERE was the self-Righteous outrage over the deaths of innocents when we were bombing the crap out of Iraq? Do you only think it's OK when we place Americans in harm's way during the process?

Exactly. Since when did conservatives become such pacifist?

I think they resent drones because manned aircraft allow them to donate more $$$ to their cherished sacred cow, the MIC. And if Americans die in the process they really don't give a rat's ass as long as the bottom line gets a boost.

(I do not know if "the Bureau of Investigative Journalism" is a reputable source. Looks like a UK organization.)
Now go dig up some data on how many people would die if we went in Marines and Seals or if we didn't kill the terrorist leaders and let me know how that stacks up.
It's not morally different from shooting an enemy with a rifle or grenade launcher. It's you guiding the weapon to the location, you looking through the sights, you picking the target, you centering the sights on the target, you pressing the "Fire" button.
And certainly no real difference from dropping the same bomb or missile, from a manned fighter plane or bomber.
Except in this case your own guy has a lot less chance of dying. Is that what the I-hate-drone-strikes people are against?
