The Reagans changed their CA address from 666 to whatever it became.
Good for the child.
Why must nutcases denigrate beliefs of others?
Some people fear walking under ladders. Some fear broken mirrors. Does it make people feel bigger/better/smarter to poke fun of them? Why can't those it doesn't affect just leave it alone?
Wow, you guys really are showcasing your tolerance and respect. It's a number and the girl should have been allowed to change it. But thank goodness they didn't so now it's a news story so you get the opportunity to make fun of a young girl. Way to win the day!
Nope, I don't have any tolerance for ridiculous beliefs. You get a number, wear the number, it's just a number. As I stated initially, it' sad that she's this deluded. Not sure how that's making fun kid, I feel sorry for her. She can't help what her parents taught her.

Nutcases are afraid of numbers. Walking under a ladder and broken glass can actually hurt you, numbers, not so much.

I wonder now if wearing the bib was a test from God, to see if they would wear it and harm their relationship, or a test from Satan, enticing them with the power of the number 666. Was this some kind of massive struggle, being won by donning a bib? How long did Satan take hold on those school officials?
Was it a bet? Like when God let Satan kill Job's family? To see what Job would do?
And the LORD said unto Satan, Hast thou considered my servant Job, that there is none like him in the earth, a perfect and an upright man, one that feareth God, and escheweth evil? Then Satan answered the LORD ... put forth thine hand now, and touch all that he hath, and he will curse thee to thy face. And the LORD said unto Satan, Behold, all that he hath is in thy power; only upon himself put not forth thine hand. So Satan went forth from the presence of the LORD.

And there was a day when his sons and his daughters were eating and drinking wine in their eldest brother's house...And, behold, there came a great wind from the wilderness, and smote the four corners of the house, and it fell upon the young men, and they are dead; and I only am escaped alone to tell thee. -- Job 1:1-19
Japanese people are afraid of the number 4 and 9, so much so that apartments are numbered 102, 103, 105, 106, 107, 108, 110. Are they stupid and deluded, too? I'm sure the Chinese and Koreans also have similar superstitions

I and the unbrainwashed are actually in agreement.
Pigs must be flying, Armageddon must be coming, Hell must have frozen over...just kidding. Totally agree with you here.

Freedom of religion. 1st amendment of our constitution. Changing that number would have hurt no one, insisting she keep it hurt her.
Many hotels have no 13th floor or room with that number.
As far as I'm concerned, to each his own. If the kid doesn't want to wear the number 666, what's the big deal? People should be able to make decisions like this without being criticized for it. No one else is hurt or inconvenienced or put in a bad position. Unlike the girls (and boys, too) in California schools who have to share their bathrooms with members of the opposite sex if a boy (or girl) decides he/she is really the opposite sex.
