I am getting really sick of all the righties talking about what is and what is not in the ACA plans without ever having looked at them on the exchange. And spare me the BS that the web site does not work. You would know better about that too if you actually had been using it recently.
Not questioning you. I was just citing the .gov website that said every plan would have it.
Reality, as you point out, seems to be different.

Here's the .gov site:

No it is not. Once again you are in the familiar territory of being wrong.

He/She got it off the Obamacare exchange and was able to "opt out".
Reality seems to be different than what HHS says is the law.

The .gov site says that's the minimum each plan must have but can have more.
It says nothing about opting out which seems to be the case when you apply.

I read somewhere that it was a regulatory decison some where along the line and it was not supported by proponents of the pediatric provisions. The thing I read said you can only buy non-pediatric dental on the exchange and not directly from the insurers. But even that is not true. If you go on ehealthinsurance then all the plans are with pediadental, but on gohealthinsurance they have both. Also, the website for the insurer I chose sold them both ways. They make you check a box that you agree you have made other arrangement for your under 19's for dental which I have.

Of course my experience applies only to plans in my own area. I don't know if this is the case nationwide.

Why should anyone feel good about them playing partisan games?

Dems do the same thing for publicity and just to say "Well we tried".
It's all to keep voters and their place at the table.

Both sides do it when it suits them to keep their voter base appeased.

While it sounds like a great bill, how exactly would it be implemented? That's like me naming a bill "The Wealth and Prosperity Encouragement Bill", while it sounds nice, what exactly am I going to do to encourage wealth and prosperity?

I cut this line from the pdf application of the insurer I chose:

"Purchasing pediatric dental coverage with Health Net? ■ Yes ■ No
Note: If a pediatric dental plan is purchased, all children will be enrolled in the pediatric plan.
■ If “No,” I confirm that I am purchasing pediatric dental coverage with another carrier as required by ACA mandate."

What about pediatric medical and vision ? Are you able to opt out of all pediatric services if you have no kids ?

Me too! For icing on the cake, my present doctor isn't listed as accepting this wonderful BO policy. More than a bit ironic, as he's a big Democrat supporter.
