...and what "special" rights would gays get? Would they get any rights not currently available to heterosexuals?

Let everyone know when you are forced by federal law to hire someone because he's gay.

I oppose all restrictions on a businessman's right of association.

It's always useful when posters include a link which demonstrates that they're lying.

From the link:
Quote:
The bill would bar employers with 15 or more workers from using a person's sexual orientation or gender identity as the basis for making employment decisions, including hiring, firing, compensation or promotion.
That covers everyone, not just gays.

a) No, there is no federal law prohibiting discrimination based on sexual orientation, which is why you cannot cite such a law - it does not exist. You've just followed up your initial lie with another lie.

b) No, the law in questions covers everyone, as the quote from your own link demonstrates. Again, you are lying.

So, to sum up - you followed up lie # 1 by repeating lie # 1 (and by cluelessly ignoring the fact that your own link shows that it is a lie) and by tossing out lie #2.

Brilliant...

Special rights is special rights...there is absolutely no need to give them that. Why would being a homosexual come up in a job interview? It doesn't unless the interviewee makes it an issue.

We have already seen businesses being targeted for not doing flowers/cakes for homosexual couples...its already happening...special rights turns into you aren't allowed to not take someone's business if you don't want to.

Gov't isn't your mommy and daddy....

They have no right to invade our personal business.... Who we hire and fire, is our business.

The GOP is dead, it will go the way of the dinosaurs.

THe Tea Party is our only hope

The bill faces strong opposition from conservative groups and Speaker John Boehner, R-Ohio, making prospects for House passage unlikely.

Won't pass anyways..nothing to worry about and another GOP RINO has shown his true colors for absolutely nothing...CONGRATS! Nevada seems to have 2 democrat Senators instead 1 of each.

About 88 percent of Fortune 500 companies have already adopted nondiscrimination policies that include sexual orientation, according to the Human Rights Campaign. About 57 percent of those companies include gender identity.

So...almost every company ALREADY has these policies yet the government feels the need to flex its muscle and pass a pointless law. Well that is what the congress and president are about. Chest beating.
