Surely this is good news to the Obama Swooners isn't it? Oh wait, unemployment ROSE to 7.3% with 720,000 Americans leaving the labor force. This exodus pushed the labor force participation rate down to 62.8%, the lowest level since 1978. One out of three adults in neither working nor actively looking for work.

Keep up the good work Obama.

October nonfarm payrolls up 204,000 vs. 120,000 estimate; unemployment rate at 7.3% vs. 7.3% estimate

So, it's good news when the economy tanks, but bad news when it doesn't?

Boomers have reached retirement age. Its not exactly a shock that the % of those participating in the labor force have decreased....

I'm sure the jobs created will be revised down. The U6 jumped two points, to 13.8%.

But the left could care less if our economy is spiraling down the toilet, their guy won, and that is all that matters to them.

It's bad when we see our labor force shrink by millions of people each year, and our government lies that the economy is improving. It's bad when folks are either too ignorant or politically partisan to be very concerned about the true state of our failing and faltering economy.

The economy is not spiraling down the toilet. The economy is actually growing.

It's sad, but that's the impression I get as well.
There was a better option in 2012, but there was a sound byte that hurt people's little feelings. So, screw everything else.

Anyone who has even a pretense of impartiality would admit that the economy is improving. At the same time, they would also concede that the rate of improvement is disappointing and discouraging.

Labor force participation rate fell this month.
62.8% are in the labor force now..720,000 left the labor force since October.

The big jobs gains were in leisure, hospitality and retail...all low paying jobs.

Each month we have less people working as nearly 1 million just up an leave. Maybe they are taking Pelosi's advice and pursuing their passions ?

When you look at the monthly SS reports only 100K signed up for SS. (you have to look over two monthly reports and do the math yourself as SS doesn't provide a monthly change).
