I voted for "the working poor," a group that attracts far more than its fair share of vitriol from cons on this forum (and elsewhere). No minimum wage! No food stamps! You're lazy! Get a better job! Etc.!

I believe there are many. At the same time, I believe the middle class is becoming more disenfranchised then ever before. The working poor has welfare to make up for the low income. Middle class Americans are conditioned to believe that it's wrong to accept handouts and they should make it on their own. Many are finding it difficult to do this, and it's dragging on their well being.

Basically, the middle class is being squeezed in a vice. Stagnant or even declining wages, coupled with rising COL. Not a good combo. Of course, as this trend continues, former middle class Americans will become working poor. American... THIS IS WHAT YOU VOTED FOR! Enjoy.

middle class PERIOD! I wouldn't lie

The middle class is the well of life for this country, and the meal ticket for politicians. They have been slammed to the point of peaceful revolution, which spawned the TEA party.

In other words the vitriol from the left is of no consequence? The dishonesty from liberals, especially progressives, is amazing. They've become so used to being factually dishonest, that it is a reflex to instantly lie.

It's called pseudologia-fantastica, and these are the symptoms:
  • The lies are believable and may have truthful elements. A compulsive liar is unlikely, for example, to lie about seeing a unicorn.
  • The lying continues for a long period of time and is not caused by some immediate pressure or stress.
  • The lies tend to present the liar in a positive light.
  • The lies have an internal, rather than an external, motivation. A child with chronically abusive parents might lie compulsively to avoid abuse, but is not a pathological liar because the lying is motivated by external factors.
If an extreme liberal denies ever displaying any (or all) of these traits... there ya go.

No one cares for the mentally ill. They are the most disinfranchised and they are unable to speak for themselves.

You should have included "tax payers" as a choice.

I'm pretty sure middle class covers that fairly well, although not 100%.

I'll assume that you and the other 9 people who voted for that are joking. Very funny.
