As I'm seeing all the conservative republicans totally obsessed with Obamacare, I keep wondering why they don't roll up their sleeves and attempt to work with the current administration and fix it, as it is, as you say, "the law of the land." Republicans sure seem to know every way in which Obamacare is broken, to hear them tell it. How about lending a hand and fixing it for all Americans?

Please don't give me the "kill it completely" scenario. This horse is already out of the barn and the conservatives have tried to kill it at least 48 times since it's inception.
Aaa the words "I will not negotiate comes to mind". Obama insisted let him clean up his mess since he won't work with anyone.

Very convenient. You don't fix the ACA but threatening and causing a government shutdown. No one should negotiate with those tactics.

You let the representatives hear from their constituents with real life facts and not anectdotal shenanigans and then you sit down, bipartisan, and try to work on ways to improve the law. You know, those back door deals that Congress used to work on before the GOP lost half its mind?.

I agree. Nothing worse than a backdoor deal to get what you want...

Ben Nelson: From 60th vote to ACA?s implementation - Jason Millman - POLITICO.com

And now he earns a million a year. But I bet no liberal complains about his "excessive" pay.

Ah, you should but you don't. If ACA fails it'll take the insurance companies with it. There is no going back. And then in the resulting chaos a workable solution will emerge. Probably a single payer insurance type like Medicare for all.

The more you people fight ACA the quicker single payer gets here.

It IS you who NEEDS TO THINK AGAIN.

Auto insurance is STATE controlled, not FEDERAL.

Health insurance WAS state controlled until Obama and the dems made it FEDERAL
In the words of Ron White, "You can't fix stupid."

So i have heard ACA is a means toward single payer and now you say without ACA will will have single payer. Why dont you libs get together and decide and get back to me which it is.

If ACA died right now those policies that would cancell in december would get a new letter that their policy will continue and all would be fine. The sky isnt falling if ACA fails right now. Now in janurary it would be more difficult which is why your side is trying to run the clock out for the win.

And then once it's voted into law bring in a health insurance executive to architect it (Liz Fowler) and when she's done she goes off and becomes the top lobbyist for Johnson & Johnson.

No conflict of interest there.

'Back in the old days' a healthy, non drinking, non drug using, no children, single 27 year old male could buy a 'catastrophic' health insurance plan for $170 a month with a $5000 deductible. Pay for all doctor visits and prescription drugs. Today, that plan is sub-standard junk. Today he has to purchase a 'spread the costs' plan for $700 a month AND STILL PAY THE FIRST $5000 for doctor visits but he will be happy to know that the government mandates that he have maternity, pediatric and substance abuse coverage.

Prices went up, but a 27 yr old man won't be paying anywhere near $700 a month.
