I am asking this as tattoos seem to be becoming mainstream, but we haven't had any prominent politicians with tattoos.

Maybe we already have prominent politicians with tattoos? If you said, "...politicians with prominent tattoos," then you might be on to something.

How is it stupid? Tattoos are about identity which is a big part of one's ideology.

I think the bigger question is "when will we have a politician that wears a wife beater exposing their tattoos?" seriously, how in the hell would we know whether or not someone has tattoos?

I am waiting for mike tyson to run for office. I would have to vote for him out of pure entertainment value. Could you see him on the floor of the house or senate talking up a bill.... "I will eat your children" if you dont put my bill to a vote!

I would bet that a good portion of military vets who have gone into politics have a tattoo.

Tattoos are the common man's way of expressing themselves.

So lets all destroy the largest organ on our body by having a needle stabbing thousands of time while injecting a substance into the skin.
