Rush is absolutely correct. Why are Republicans such fools it just ticks me off that they can be so stupid.

Absolutely true.

Let the American people get a good, close up experience of Obamacare and then lets see how liberal they vote.

She did a good job of maintaining her cool whilst listening to Lauer's particular type of stupidity.

I think demographic changes would disagree. This is especially true going into the future as with every passing year the country becomes "less white". What was it, something like 97% of blacks, 73% of Asians, and 71% of Hispanics voted for Obama in 2012? On a national level,it is true that the GOP does have to widen its appeal. It's just simple math.

It's just math. The Republicans occupy the right 1/3 of a normal distribution (bell curve). There are a lot of votes to pick up towards the center (i.e. towards the peak of the curve) and essentially zero additional votes that can be picked up on the right.

If Republicans ever want to win again, that 20% is their only hope.

Do you think Rush actually wants them to win? Losing is great for his schtick. He just tells the right wingers what they want to hear (we need to be MORE conservative!!!!), they lose, and he gets to sell the same snake oil. His audience doesn't want to hear anything else, so it is a great gig for him.

Gods yeah, Republicans winning would impact his revenue.

Seriously, the guy forments hate and idiocy. I listen to him regularly just to see whats stirring. 1 in 100 times does he make sense once you look at the data. The other 99% is just insanity and delusion. And its all based on making him money from the gullible or low information folks.

Of note is that he thinks there is money in the far far right and has been going after the non conservative republican party. Which is kinda fascinating. Cause the guys pretty smart. Evil, but smart. So a lot of me hopes that the tea party is going to fail and the Republicans will go back to being sane conservatives with whom I disagree, most of me realizes that Rush is seeing a future of tea party, democratic party, and republican party. So thats kinda interesting.

So far in 2016 it is not working.

If they sifter out the dirt they may make some inroads.

Well said Rush ... that 20% is the Tea Party bigots, kooks, and wackos. Let's stop pandering to them.

Only 36% of eligible voters show up. If the GOP can get 100% of their base to vote, they will continue to win elections. It is not the "minorities" that beat them. It is their own base who stay home rather than vote for a candidate that does not share their values or issues.
