Kyle Becker | On 07, Nov 2013 @ Wall of Shame: Net Worths of 100 Left-Wing Millionaire and Billionaire Celebs | Independent Journal Review
Tired of hearing limousine liberals complain about how unjust our economic system is? I know I am. That’s why I compiled a very short list of left-wing radicals who can’t practice what they preach.
These 100 left-wing supporters of wealth redistribution made millions and even billions off the free enterprise system. Many supported the Celebrity President himself Barack Obama, who has ironically gotten quite wealthy preaching against ‘evil’ rich people. This is just a taste of left-wing hypocrisy
Here are a few of them:

To begin with, none of these individuals is even remotely left-wing, at least not on an international political scale. They are supporters of The Democratic Party, which--just like The Republican Party--is an overtly capitalist political party. Alec Baldwin even does commercials for Capital One, which was among the worst-offending entities in the mortgage scandal.
I imagine they would defend themselves by suggesting two things. Firstly, that there is a difference between making a lot of money by actually doing something--as opposed to simply watching investments of questionable ethics accrue. With that said, I'm sure these folks have plenty of stock investments of their own. I think the second argument they would make is that they aren't opposed to being subjected to fairly heavy levels of taxation on the money they do earn. However, again, I'm sure there is ample use of various tax shelters among the group listed here.
While I don't disagree with the basic premise that these celebrities are often prone to economic hypocrisy, the idea of billionaire Republicans pointing the finger at millionaire Democrats is ironic in a pot-calling-the-kettle-black sort of way.
In the end, I take "a pox on both their houses" position. The sooner we put an end to this blatant hyper-capitalism that has nearly destroyed this country, the better.

It's funny, as I never even thought about the hypocrisy of Alec Baldwin working with what is often considered one of the most predatory mainstream lenders in America. Then again, he serves his masters well.

I don't think a lot of those numbers are right.
Spielberg is a billionaire, as is Al Bore.
