Maybe the USA can start its conquest with the assimilation of the Province of Quebec, just to see how it works out, before invading the rest of the Canadian provinces.

Not really, Costco is ten minutes away from my home, and I've never heard of Trader Joes.

So they are talking about leaving MX out of the corporate merger?

North American Union

Yes that is working well in the EU. Rather it will til they blow another bubble and pop that one.

Who knows what will be coming out of the TPP.

Till Mexico takes care of business; they can stay OUT. Too; that country can join up with a bunch of other LatAm countries from Guatemala on down.

I propose leaving Mexico and the US out of the merger.

LOL. We can leave Quebec and Mexico out of a merger. Tho unless something big comes down; there WON'T be a union of Canada and the US in our lifetimes.

There is at least one benefit of a USA/Mexico merger, it would solve Americas illegal immigrant problem.

That won't happen since we'd "school" Mexico real fast and Mexico would cry if they were forced to dump Spanish for English. Tho the US might get maybe Baja, I don't know, just guessing here.

Well the problem with that is, the U.S. is going bi-lingual at a greater rate than Canada has to date with "official" bilingualism being on the books. One cannot move within your southern climes without being faced with Spanish in any sector of the economy or officialdom. Give it another five years or so and you might just have to provide legislation to "protect" English.

Uh; English is still the language of money and power in the world; Spanish is pretty much the language of the barrio in the US.
