You'd have to ask them. Maybe they are healthy and pay their way.
Not everyone is living on the edge of poverty in the US you know.
Maybe they leave the country for their healthcare.
Lots of seniors go to Mexico for dental and prescription drugs.
Not every American is fixated on having an insurance card in their wallets.
The difference is no one "chooses" to have cancer or a heart attack.
Yes and no. Many, many people engage in activities that promote such outcomes. Likewise, they have unhealthful eating habits and fail to remain physically fit.
1. They dont think they will get sick

Best quote: "Government has been lying to us since birth."
Gives me hope to see young people coming to this realization.
This is why Madcow et al are trying to nip that "dangerous form of libertarianism" (as Christie Creme likes to call it) in the bud by pounding away at Rand Paul and others. Since libertarianism offers a release from the chains that restrict freedom, it's beneficial for people who support controlled societies and the status-qu to demonize these people before they become too popular and mainstream.

The point is that the government regulating individuals is nothing new or sinister. If I don't put cans and plastic in the yellow bin I will get fined. Regulations covering required auto specifications is inches thick. If I don't send in my taxes by April 15th, I'll get a fine.
We live in a society and we have rules for the general good?
That's what every tyrant from Tamerlane to Hitler to Khomeini said.
Beyond common sense, keep your hang-ups, your morality, and your need for power out of other peoples lives!!!
As I said in another thread on this subject, I don't know how they did it for $50/semester. The U of CO charges ~$1500 per semester, pre-Obamacare. Maybe someone was subsidizing the ins. and quit doing it.
