This is disrespectful. There are laws that your parents are not exempt from.

Carmen Lima, 13, of Arizona, and Jennifer Martinez, 16, of Washington state, confront Speaker Boehner at breakfast. Carmen, who hasn't seen her father since she was ten, and Jennifer, whose father was detained for several months by ICE, tell Speaker Boehner how our broken immigration system affected their families and ask for his support on immigration reform.

They should return to the native country of their parents so they can all be re-united. Problem solved.

John is a public official. How different is it than any other constituent to stop and talk to their Representative.

they seemed very respectful.

Should a son of a drug offender approach a public official and ask him the same questions? You would find that disrespectful wouldn't you? Do you not know how much families have been interrupted due to drug convictions? Family unification is not a good argument for immigration reform being that there are multitude of scenarios where families are broken up.

I understand their concern, and sympathize with them, but this issue goes far beyond just allowing people into our country, this involves a strain on existing infrastructure, economic implications, expansion of safety net programs of which some are already putting a strain on us, the lack of available jobs, and much more. I don't want us to break apart families, but families are being broken apart daily by incarceration, car accidents, murders, etc, what makes them special enough to come here illegally and allowed to stay and enjoy the same benefits as us? But I agree to immigration reform, but if we do amnesty, we will need to make sure those brought in by amnesty are exempt from certain privileges/services that a citizen has.

Well, well, well.. A big coincidence I say; I literally just took a snap shot of this..

I feel as if this is a direct shot at those two kids.

How dare a 13 and 16 year old try to talk to the Speaker of the House of Representatives. Don't they know that Mr. Boehner only talks to lobbyists with briefcases full of campaign cash?

They should run, climb and swim a few thousand miles south and ask their actual politicians.

Disrespectful?

He's eating in a public place and they introduced themselves. One even offered her hand when she told him her name.

It's the First Amendment at it's finest. Ain't it a great country?

Just goes to show how brainwashed these kids are by their criminal parents. They have the audacity to ask that their criminal parents be given a pass on our immigration laws.
