Maybe it's the idea of rewarding people for criminal behavior that is offensive? Some of us have spouses that followed a legal path. Some of us have loved ones that will wait up to 7 years before they can get that green card. The idea of people who have cheated and violated our laws getting a free pass, a head of line pass as a reward for cheating is offensive to say the least.
But hey it's just another Obama lie right. What did he promise? No head of line pass. Illegals would have to follow the same path as legals. isn't that what he said??? Well legals step 1. Apply for a VISA from their nation of origin.
Step 2 biometrics,a background check and a medical examine.
Step 3 Interview at a US embassy in nation of origin.
The immigration reform bill does nothing to address the actual problems with our immigration system. It is a bill that panders to a very specific group and adds billions in pork spending. It is a very bad bill for America.

I am pretty sure they don't vote for the party that treats them like second class citizens even when they are citizens of this country.
Probably the same thing that happened when the Irish feared that the Blacks were gonna take their low paying jobs. Though I am guessing there won't be the rioting and lynchings that the Irish did.

Yet these same people don't find it offensive when companies hire illegals to work for them. That is what I find odd. You almost never see a thread on this site about going after business owners who hire illegals, it is always the other way around. It is those illegals taking all the jobs when that is an untrue statement.

I have to say that immigrants, illegal or not, are one of the hardest working people I have ever met. And I hate to say this but I would hire them any day over americans because some americans are lazy.

I don't think you know the Irish history that well, they embraced the Irish culture when they moved here. This country had Irish slums and it was much easier to hop on a boat and sail into NYC or Boston back then when millions were migrating here from other countries.

How do you tell the difference between an illegal and a citizen? Also, if they are already living and working in this country, should they not have representation too? Might as well seeing you allow their employers to get away with hiring illegals.
