I could care less if it is added as a event or not. My view is you seen one pole dancer you seen them all, that's why I do not go too strip clubs. After about 15 mins the dancers are boring as hell and the beer cost too much.

You should hang out at the strip clubs in Portland, Or. The beer is typically cheap, the liquor is good priced, and the girls are usually very talented and if you at one at the right day you might get to enjoy some amazing fire dancing. It was a fun city to be a bachelor in.

I can say the same about gymnastics, figure skating and ice dancing.
There are some amazing dancers and gymnasts out there competing already. There is the US pole dance federation, Pole art, and the International pole dance federation, with competitions around the word. We aren't talking abut club dancers.
True, but in the minds of most people, pole dancing is associated with strip clubs.
The federation has a serious perception problem that it will have to overcome if it wishes to be seen as a serious sport, and the competitors will have to show less skin.
