So Ice Dancing should remain? How about rhythmic gymnastics? Figure skating? Snow boarding on that half pipe? Biathlon? Yachting? Canoeing? Track and Field, for gawd sakes? Who in this day and age cares about track and field?
Ice Dancing and figure skating involve skates and have a long history of competition and skill. Snow Boarding, biathlon, yachting, canoeing track and field are all physical sports that require years of training and physical prowess.

There's the world baseball classic which countries such as Dominican Republic, Japan and Venezuela and Cuba dominate every time.
Most countries don't play hockey.. I guess that should be removed as well.
Again, if you know nothing about sports (don't have a history playing or watching it) you really have absolutely no business discussing this.
If it does happen, instead of medals can we expect the winners to have currency stuffed into their underwear by the judges in the front row? And will they then circulate to all members of the audience, expecting to be rewarded in a similar way as well? Will each performer first come out with a roll of paper towels and a bottle of Windex to clean the obligatory mirrors on the stage?
