There is a common theme among Christians that "the debtor is slave to the lender." I know of all African-American churches that reinforce this thinking as a primary trait of how to live. I think this is what Palin was referencing.

He does? And you listen to him? Oh. You don't listen to him. Then, when you said he does stuff like this daily, you never heard him?

To Bashir's credit, he did apologize today.

This kind of vitriol is pretty much standard fare from today's left and from MSNBC. Truly disgusting. Aren't these the same people that lectured the country on civility in the aftermath of the Gabby Giffords shooting?

Any conservative commentator who said something even approaching this would be instantaneously fired and demonized by the MSM for weeks. And rightfully so. The question is, why do liberals like Bashir get a pass? They constantly demonize and dehumanize anyone who disagrees with liberal orthodoxy.
The "dunce" is this guy, and anyone who listen's to him, or to MSNBC, for that matter.
Sarah Palin was right on the mark in her comments.

In your opinion. The BS was coming out of the mouth of this dunce (yes, he is the dunce). That you buy into this BS makes you a dunce also. But, being from Oregon, I'm not surprised ... perhaps the most liberal state in the Union.

Of course you know this because you listen to Rush every day?

She said nothing even remotely deserving of that horrendous and infantile diatribe, anyone who defends this is a rank moron.

And for the record, I do not like Sarah Palin.

He hears about it from others who also don't listen to Rush. But they know what Rush says too, because they have heard about it.

The word 'slavery,' is not always used in reference to slavery in America. One can become enslaved by debt.

What comes out of Sarah Palin's mouth is truth. Because you do not like the truth, you find it necessary to ridicule the messenger.

The Jews of Jesus' day had him crucified because they also did not like the truth.

Todays leftists are propagandizing, and you prefer their lies to the truth. You are being enslaved by them. Sorry.

"What is truth? said jesting Pilate; and would not stay for an answer."
- Francis Bacon, Essays, "Of Truth" (1597, 1625)
. . .

It would take a very great philosopher to know the absolute truth; and yet every day the most ordinary persons take oath to "tell the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth"; which probably comes about as close to the absolute truth as may be. At the trial of Jesus, Pontius Pilate asked: "What is truth?" Interestingly, Christ did not answer the question; and in that silence - that pregnant pause between thought and action - there is the unwritten truth of the gospels.
