So, the Obamaphone lady is a Tea Partier? How about the people that lined up to get Obama money, from "his stash?"

And all the people collecting Welfare checks and not working are Tea Partiers?

Defense spending is a necessary and Constitutional expenditure. And I think it's only right that those who served (sacrificing their personal lives) are given something back for that sacrifice. While I served four years in the Navy, my other pursuits were on hold. Do you people not understand this? And it's not as though military pay is great, either.

But this is how the Democrats (liberals) wish to repay our Vets. F--k them. Right? Some have died defending your freedom. But who cares.

It's funny that Lefties support this when they won't see SS anyway because many Dems don't work or if they do, don't pay much into it.

Cut benefits from those that either paid into the system or earned them and turn around and give all that money to the poor instead.

What kind of country will this turn into with that kind of thinking ?

you remove the cap, and yes some rich guy will pay more out of his paycheck right now...but he will also get a heck of a lot more at 62

removing the cap is a temp fix, that will cause longterm problems

removing the cap allows for bigger PAYOUTS to the rich..making ss even less funded

The kind where we already have those who receive public assistance having a birth rate 3 times higher than those who don't, only worse.

Ideologically-blinded liberals are incapable of recognizing the societal damage their redistributionist policies cause, though. The road to hell is paved with good, albeit childishly misguided, intentions.

Gunz your memory is slipping when you try to say you didn't say this when you actually did. Tell me where this number comes from or did you make it up like you usually do?

It's more polite to ask for a link to back up their statements then to just accuse them outright of lying.

I did, then he deflected like he always does. This isn't the first time he has made a claim and then deflected and pretend he never said what he said than to provide a link.

based on, but not equivalent to

the more you contribute to SS, the less likely you are to get all that money back.

raising the cap would help out middle-income people most, the individuals earning between $50k - 100k / year, by shifting the curve upwards.

the high-income person in question will pay more in than he/she takes out.
