Meh...it's still a great place, but I'm not all that impressed anymore.
It all depends where you're sitting. In my house in the suburbs maybe I would agree with you. But then I go visit my parents on their 1500 acre farm in southern Minnesota and watch a sunset on their porch? I can't think of too many better places.

The United States has not only saved the world from Nazis and Communists, but has also bestowed the greatest gifts of technology that the human race has ever seen. In other words, you're welcome.
It's good to see that you are patriot of your country.
But it very sad that you are ignorant and heavily brainwashed.
Another ingrate. The United States has not only saved the world from Nazis and Communists, but has also bestowed the greatest gifts of technology that the human race has ever seen. In other words, you're welcome.
Dude, if it wasn't for the Soviets, the Nazis probably wouldn't have had much of a problem decimating Europe. It was Hitler's insistance on attacking the Eastern Front that weakened their forces on continental Europe, and it was the Soviets who beat them back West. The US - with the help of the British, it may be added - led massive assaults from the North and South. It wasn't any one nation that "defeated the Nazis..." it was an Allied victory; a victory for the US, certainly, but also the UK and the Soviets.
As far as "beating communism," what steps did the US take to cause the Soviet Union to collapse into the CIS? Their own internal issues caused them to dissolve. The North Vietnamese beat us in Vietnam and turned the country communist; it still is to this day. We had a cease-fire with the North Koreans, who are still communist. China is still communist, owns a chunk of our debt, and there is no sign of their ruling party being defeated any time soon.
So, from one American who's well-versed in history to another American who evidently isn't... you're welcome.

You seem to be well versed in the Daily Kos and not reality.

Neither China or Vietnam are still communist. Someone well versed in history should know that. In fact, technically speaking, there has never been a communist nation.
So because we following the Constitution and Bill Of Rights, and do not believe in failed ideologies and laws we are Ignorant, and because we don't care about what other lesser nations think of us we are unfriendly?
Wolves don't lose sleep over the opinion of sheep.
Yeah... those "sheeps" are really stupid thinking that "wolves" are unfriendly to them.
Instead, wolves are very friendly to all these "lesser nations" sheeps.
But tell me please - is there any article of the constitution that allows a political revolution in other countries and participating in "coup d'etat"? Or, permits to create an economical collapse in other nations?
Yeah... I know. It's not a failed ideology.
