Obama would not even negotiate on a delay of the punishments for the personal mandate, something Obama will be forced into doing anyway.

Yes, it is unfortunate that the Republicans abused the system to the point this is necessary. They created such gridlock that nothing can be accomplished. When you hear senators threatening judicial nominations unless they have more hearings on Benghazi, a totally unrelated matter, you really get the feeling that these guys are simply using it as a form of blackmail.

Revolution? When 40 extremists in the House can close down the government, hurt the economy, put people out of work and cost the country $24 billion because they don't like a law, and when what they are doing is opposed by the majority of congress and the majority of the country--yeah, that demands a revolution against the nihilists. Maybe it is time extremist obstructionists understand there are consequences to being irresponsible and reactionary.

There have been 23 district court nominations filibustered in the entire US history, 20 of them occurred since Obama took office, why not just allow an up or down vote?.

There has never been a Secretary of Defense filibustered as was the case with Chuck Hagel.

This is the short list, many executive positions have met the same fate.

Yes the democrats have also filibustered nominations but this is extreme, the agreement a few months ago when they walked up to the edge was that the minority party would only filibuster in cases where there was an extreme question of character. They violated that agreement.

They didnt just violate it, they didnt even try and keep it by claiming they had non-existent concerns with the candidates. They just simply said they were using it as blackmail to accomplish other goals.

This will probably come back and bite the democrats in the ass but it had to be done. I mean who filibusters a president over 40 times in a term. And Obama is only 2 years in his second term and has over 40??? I think the most was Clinton at 9.
