In Miami Gardens, store video catches cops in the act - Miami Gardens / Opa-locka - MiamiHerald.com

Quote:
Earl Sampson has been stopped and questioned by Miami Gardens police 258 times in four years.

He’s been searched more than 100 times. And arrested and jailed 56 times.

Despite his long rap sheet, Sampson, 28, has never been convicted of anything more serious than possession of marijuana.

Miami Gardens police have arrested Sampson 62 times for one offense: trespassing.

Almost every citation was issued at the same place: the 207 Quickstop, a convenience store on 207th Street in Miami Gardens.

But Sampson isn’t loitering. He works as a clerk at the Quickstop.

...

Saleh was so troubled by what he saw that he decided to install video cameras in his store. Not to protect himself from criminals, because he says he has never been robbed. He installed the cameras — 15 of them — he said, to protect him and his customers from police.
And that's just the start. The local police force has a vendetta against this guy, his employees, and patrons. They violating civil rights left and right, and the store owner installed the cameras to protect himself and his employees. The police are falsifying reports, outright lying (the cameras are proving them wrong), interrupting his business (such as multiple officers going inside at once and blocking the aisles), using intimidation tactics, and conducting illegal searches. Of course, the police chief says they are protecting and serving the citizens and businesses, and obey the rules. He's suing the city, and I hope he cleans up.

Default Convenience store owner installs 15 camera..to protect from cops

That is one bizarre story. Looks like the FBI needs to root out some corruption in that cop shop.

SFL has quite the long history, Miami, particularly. Cameras are a good idea.

And here we all thought it would be the government getting cameras to use against us. Who knew it would be us getting cameras to protect ourselves....

Default Black man arrested 62 times for trespassing at his workplace

Nazi style gestapo tactics.

These cops were going after the owner and his employees and his customers so often that the guy installed cameras. The owner has vids of the cops on camera snooping around in the back when they said they were going to the bathroom.

Miami Gardens is a high crime area and the chief says they are zero tolerance on crime, but the cops are obviously corrupt and inept.
