The real question is what is the OP's solution to everything thats a problem within this country. Other than blaming one group, as if the other side is a bunch of angels.

A better question. What do people on the dole have to offer?

Precisely. When people on the dole quit abusing the system the Dems have created, then maybe they can contribute to society.
Dont get me wrong, safety nets for people truly in need are needed. But abusing safety nets to become hammocks is BS.

I get what you are talking about but be careful. You can tell dems you believe in safety nets but they'll ignore that part and start attacking you.

^^this^^. we havent had real conservatives in large enough numbers in office for them to be able to do anything really good. what we have had is people claiming to be conservative, usually adding qualifiers like "compassionate" or other some such garbage, when they are really liberals in disguise. the bushs and mccain, , and bohner, and to an extent romney were all like that. the closest we got was when gingrich was speaker of the house, but even he wasnt a true conservative.

Really? Who is it that has run up our current debt, which is the highest in the history of the country, and far beyond the Bush years? And the DemoCrats are still at it. ObamaCare alone is costing Trillions.

Your Party is the "tax and spend" party, and it always has been.

Absolutely true. Those today who trash Reagan, and conservatives, claiming such policies don't work, either weren't alive at the time and are being taught lies, or they are just plain socialist lackeys who would be happier living in a communist country. Socialism is what Obama promised with his "fundamental transformation" statement: "We are just five days away from fundamentally transforming the United States of America."

Exactly right! Those who will not or cannot understand that are just plain ignorant knownothings.

Nobody claimed Democrats don't tax and spend, they do! Borrow and spend is the Republican Mantra.

You can blame Obama for keeping the Bush tax cuts, you can blame Obama for following Bush's timetable regarding the military (and hence the military spending), you can even blame Obama for future spending that hasn't occurred yet, though even that is suspect. However, you can't blame Obama for the recession, corporate decisions to ship jobs overseas, or for baby boomers.

Reagan was allegedly an 'actual conservative', what did he do to shrink the size of what conservatives tell us is the problem while in the White House? What have 'actual conservatives' ever done to shrink the government they claim to hate yet want to lead? WHEN have they ever cut spending on things that suit their agenda?
