That is a giant euphemism in the West's case. It's like calling rape making love...

You're right (shaking head) we don't need any allies in the region.

Until 1948, we seldom had enemies in the region.

The JCS warned Truman that recognizing Israel would threaten our strategic position and our oil supply, but the old fool preferred listening to his Zionist campaign donors.

Let's talk about (radical) Muslims and how they want to destroy all cultures but those that agree with them? Hmmmm?
That's nonsense, most Muslims don't give a crap about the rest of the world these days.

There are radicals in every country and religion. Evangelists in the US are no better.
Nor did Taliban etc. go to other countries. If we had left the Middle East alone, there would be no Muslim terrorists these days. We created them and keep creating them...

I agree with jimj; the Al Qaida kind of people ARE a big problem in 2013. It's to the point that more and more rich countries want to STOP immigration of Muslims. So please QUIT ragging on England and the US; if we really wanted to play hard, there'd be NO Middle East in 2013.

Because there's 5 million jews in israel, and 1.5 billion muslims who scream about every perceived slight - while they do far, far worse.

The problem is that the fascist muslims are sympathized with and aided by various bottom-feeders in the west, starting with the sc-m of humanity like the NY Times.

The usual nonsense from the far left...many US allies and buyers of US products like Japan and India get their oil from the mideast, so without them, the US won't have markets to sell to. Get it? Or should I repeat it again?

And I find it just so hilarious how the clueless far leftists claim that all of the US' problems in the mideast stem from its support of israel, buying line and sinker the saudi-driven propagandist nonsense completely. Just hilarious.

You are confusing cause and effect. Al Qaeda is only a reaction to our imperialist behavior, an overshooting defense mechanism. Interestingly, they don't care about most of the world, but only target the West, and even there only a few countries. And guess which those are...
