John Kerry is such an ignorant, arrogant fool, which is why Obama chose him for Sec. of State, birds of a feather and all.

Case in point, Kerry just wiped out almost 200 years of US government official foreign policy and replaced it with.... nothing. While at the same time distorting it, and flipping it on it's head the actual definition and purpose of the Monroe Doctrine.

Kerry Declares: 'The Era of the Monroe Doctrine is Over,' Proceeds to Distort It

On Monday, Secretary of State John Kerry told the Organization for American States that “The era of the Monroe Doctrine is over.” After the assembled delegates applauded, Kerry proceeded to misquote the doctrine as “a United States declaration about how and when it will intervene in the affairs of other American states.”

From the Monroe Doctrine:

The Monroe Doctrine was a policy of the United States introduced on December 2, 1823. It stated that further efforts by European nations to colonize land or interfere with states in North or South America would be viewed as acts of aggression, requiring U.S. intervention.

At the same time, the doctrine noted that the United States would neither interfere with existing European colonies nor meddle in the internal concerns of European countries. The Doctrine was issued at a time when nearly all Latin American colonies of Spain and Portugal had achieved or were at the point of gaining independence from the Portuguese Empire and Spanish Empire; Peru and Bolivia would become independent in 1825, leaving only Cuba and Puerto Rico under Spanish rule. The United States, working in agreement with Britain, wanted to guarantee that no European power would move in.

This president and this era of the Democratic political party will go down in our history books as the most willfully destructive in modern history, if not all in US history.

The Monroe Doctrine hasn't been relevant since 1917 when the US entered World War I.

The Monroe Doctrine said the US would not get involved with European political matters or European wars.

The United States has been HEAVILY involved in political matters in Europe and elsewhere outside of the Western hemisphere.
