Make yourself God and set yourself up on the throne. See how that works out for ya. Being an imperfect creature, I bet you'll create a paradise for yourself in no time.
I believe in god because that was how I was raised. I don't believe in the bible, although I loved charlton heston in moses lol I don't believe in going to church because it's just an ordinary building. I think priests are just normal men and have no personal attachment to god. I think religion empowers you but can also be a crutch so it's a fine line between the two. What religion has taught me was to believe in myself. Why is that being a god

Believing in nothing greater than oneself is a fool's errand. I sure don't want to be my own god. I'm smart enough to know I'm imperfect.

Where did I say I was perfect. I know I'm not. Maybe our gods are different because mine taught me to believe in myself. You believe what you want and I'll believe what I want.

You're free to do so. God gave us free will. Unfortunately, our will is flawed at the best of times.

So what if our free will is flawed....we are human and make mistakes.

When the pope gives up the extremely large assets of the Catholic Church and gives it away to feed and clothe the poor, then we'll chat. Until then, he's just another liberal telling other people what to do with their assets.
The Pope decides how the Vatican spends its money? Really, who has the last word and how do you know how this Pope will influence the politics of the church? As of now you can only assume. This pope is at least thinking and acting outside of the box. He is a Jesuit, which is a first for the papacy and thus far his message is resonating with people that are not even religious, but see his message as one of compassion and humanity. Is it his message that you have a problem with or your claim of it it being hypocritical? Just curious, because some CD posters are taking issue the with the message itself, which I find pathetic.
