In some cases it was lowering the standards for minority applicants, but is not stated that it will be done in the OP. It's making the assumption that standards are being lowered without evidence. Sorry, making things up is considered lying. No mission there, that's the definition of the term.

Saying that the only way to get minorities passing AP exams at all is to lower the standards because they are not as smart as whites is bigotry. It would also be bigotry if it was said the only way whites could make the standards is if the standards were lower because they are not as smart. There is no quest or mission in those terms.
They have test scores and demographic breakdowns of those scores.

A 41% passing rate for an AP class is abysmal. They need to look at qualifications to take that class.

Not who you are talking to, but they are dumbing down at least some of the AP tests.

For example:

The AP US History Exam took off a -1/4 point for each wrong answer selected, making it more strategic in guessing or not guessing when you weren't sure. They stopped this due to complaints on the 2011 test.

The 2015 test will go from 80 multiple choice questions (it use to have 100) to 50 multiple choice questions with an emphasis on being able to read charts, maps, look at pictures instead of pure knowledge questions.

The 2015 test will drop one of the essays and replace it with short answers with no need for a thesis, essay structure, etc...

There is talk of having the multiple choice section go from A-E selection to an A-D selection.

The University of Michigan and some other more prestigious public colleges are considering no longer accepting AP scores for college credits.

Thomas Jefferson High School for Science and Technology......affectionately known here in DC as "TJ".....has seen its admission standards drop....it's test scores drop.....its number of remedial course requirements skyrocket....and its number of "college prepared" graduates drop.

All because of "diversity." Luckily, the parents aren't having any of it. They have demanded, and have received, a top-down review of what the hell went wrong in the nation's top high school.

The problem is, they don't need a review. They KNOW what happened. It's as obvious as the grass is green.

A push to open up the courses to more students has led some to worry that the curriculum will be watered down.
Yup I'm just making it up.

Remembers leftist its all about symbolism and intent, not substance or results.

The Democratic party needs a massive uneducated, dependent underclass to get elected.
