The LAT reports California gained a net 58,000 jobs in Feb, one out of every three jobs created in the entire country:

LA Times

Buh... Whut? I thought California was BAD for business? I thought everybody left? I thought it went bankrupt? I thought it was about to fall into the ocean? What about all those "rules" and "regulations"???

Don't believe everything you read in Forbes, people.

California is not bad for business. The brightest minds are assembled in California.

The reason people leave California is extremely high housing costs, which are mostly due to geography (valleys, coast, mountain ranges, strict zoning, and proximity to the Far East).

And Rick Perry is a clown. Wealthy folks haven't left California for taxes. Nearly all of Texas migrants from California are middle class folks trying to buy their $200,000 McMansion. $200,000 buys a shoebox in California.

Most "job growth" in this country is low-income, low-skilled labor, especially in Texas, California, and Florida.

Spin again.

Since Mexifornia has one of the highest unemployment rates and Texas one of the lowers .. I'd say that adding 58,000 to the picking of lettuce payrolls .. is a real reason to crow?

(or is it?)

Lets put this in prospective ..

States with statistically significant employment changes from
December 2013 to January 2014, seasonally adjusted

California ................... |15,323,600| 15,292,100 | -31,500

From December of 2013 to January of 2014 Mexifornia Lost 31,500 jobs.

Texas ........................ |11,325,400| 11,359,300 | +33,900

At the same time Texas 'gained' almost 34,000

Yep, Mexifornia overcame that 31,500 job loss number by hiring 38,000 Illegals? to pick the veggies which is a net gain of .. what, 5,500?

Good Job!
